Cook Park in Tigard
http://www.ci.tigard.or.us/community/parks/cook_park.asp
Portland weddings in July can hold the possibility of rain.  If you consider the fourth of July in Portland I'll bet you have some rainy day memories.  Theo and Ken chose Cook Park in Tigard for their wedding and reception, and had the covered picnic area, in case of July showers, or for shade in case of really hot weather.  The park has lots of room, lots of parking, several covered areas you can reserve for a fee, plenty of room for children to play, picnic tables and barbeques.  After their wedding ceremony, Ken and Theo had a wonderful potluck reception with lots of good food on the grills.  It was a wonderful marriage celebration filled with many memories of a great time with family and friends.  Rev. Kristie and Jeremy wanted to find a Portland wedding location that had a country flavor to it, was enchanting and different than your normal banquet hall.  When they ran across East Fork Estate, Gresham, they fell in love!  Having the help and guidance of owner, Tammy Kaye Galvin sealed the deal for them as Tammy handled the coordination of every last detail to make their wedding a spectacular memory.  At East Fork Estate, a Portland metro wedding venue, the catering, decorations and wedding cake were all included in the package.  Kristie arrived to the wedding ceremony by horse drawn carriage and after all the fun was over they departed in a luxurious limo.  DJ Craig Brown kept the party moving with his wide variety of song choices and really got the crowd involved with group dances and songs that were important to Jeremy and Kristie.  Everyone had the time of their lives!  The grounds make for a beautiful backdrop and Mt Hood shows it's presence on a clear day, perfect for photo opportunities.

Ainsworth House

Jovana & Josh started the planning of their Portland wedding ceremony soon after their engagement.  They had planned to take care of everything on their own so it was important to fulfill their dreams on a budget they could handle.  Ever since Jovana met Josh so many years ago, she dreamed of a wonderful, once-in-a-lifetime wedding with the man of her dreams.  They wanted a venue that was comfortable, down to earth as they are and a place where their guests would be treated to fine food, drinks and dancing.  When they found the Ainsworth House in Oregon City, they know they had found the perfect venue.  Owner, Kevin Yell made sure their desires were met. He also acted as their officiant.  There was not a dry eye in the house as he gave a very poignant and heartfelt ceremony.  The Ainsworth House & Gardens was built in 1851 as a wedding gift.  Today it is a gift to Portland area wedding guests. The house has dramatic pillars and the look of a southern style mansion.  The gardens act as a beautiful backdrop for pictures and the conservatory is picture perfect for your reception.  There is a special brides room for getting dressed and upstairs in the study, the groom and his men can relax and get ready.  Jovana & Josh couldn't have been happier with the outcome and were glad they found The Ainsworth House for their wedding ceremony.

The Fairgate Inn

When Chris & Lindsay started looking for Portland area wedding locations, there were a few details that were important to them.  Since they had relatives and friends coming from all over the country they needed to make sure that they could find accommodations for their guests that had traveled so far to witness them get married.  When they found The Fairgate Inn, Camas Bed & Breakfast, they knew their search was over.  Not only is the Fairgate Inn a magnificent treasure with the grace and beauty of this Colonial Greek Revival Mansion, it also has 12 unique guestrooms so that their out of town guests could stay right at the wedding venue.  Chris and Lindsay were married in the beautiful foyer and Lindsay made her grand entrance from the sweeping staircase above, this Portland bride's dream come true.  Once the nuptials were over, the guests joined Chris and Lindsay below in the grand ballroom for an exquisite buffet dinner and dancing galore.  After all the fun was over, Chris and Lindsay climbed the stairs and started their married life together in the Sterling Bridal Suite.  The backdrop of this gorgeous mansion made for stunning wedding photographs and since the Portland weather didn't cooperate in March everyone was very comfortable inside the mansion with the rich decor and turn of the century furnishings.
